Data Entry Clerk

Hampshire County Council are currently looking for a Data Entry Officer to sit within children's services.

• Fixed-Term Contract - 3 to 5 Months
• Hybrid - Winchester Office
• Full-time (37 hours per week) - Part-time applications will also be considered
• 13.49 ph
• Ideally experience within SEND would be great

Essential Requirements

• Previous experience in an administrative or data entry role.
• Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
• Good IT skills, including experience using Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work independently and prioritise workloads effectively.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information appropriately.

About the Role

We are looking to recruit a temporary Data Entry Officer to support the team during a period of increased workload. The post will focus on maintaining accurate records within the IDOX Hub and Capita/MRI systems, ensuring information is entered, updated and managed correctly to support day-to-day service delivery.

This role would suit an individual with strong administrative experience, excellent attention to detail and the ability to work confidently with electronic case management systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Input, update and maintain records within IDOX Hub and Capita/MRI systems.
• Process referrals, requests and supporting documentation in accordance with service procedures.
• Check information for accuracy, completeness and consistency.
• Scan, upload and link documents to electronic records.
• Monitor and complete workflow tasks within the relevant systems.
• Respond to information requests from colleagues and service users where appropriate.
• Assist with data quality checks and data cleansing activities.
• Support the team to meet service deadlines and performance requirements.
• Handle sensitive information appropriately and ensure compliance with GDPR and data protection legislation.

Person Specification

Desirable

• Experience using IDOX Hub.
• Experience using Capita ONE/MRI systems.
• Experience working within a local authority, education, SEND, social care or wider public sector setting.
• Understanding of data quality standards and records management practices.
