Office Manager Coventry Up to 40,000

Vickerstock are working with an established engineering consultancy to recruit an Office Manager for their Coventry office.

This is an established role at the heart of a team of around 10 people. The Finance & Operations Director is based in Northern Ireland, so you'll be the senior operational presence on site, trusted to run the office day to day with genuine autonomy.

It would suit an experienced Office Manager, or a strong Office Administrator or Coordinator ready to take on the full role. Experience in invoicing or credit control would be a real advantage, however, isn't essential.

Why this opportunity?

  • Run the Coventry office yourself, with real autonomy and a Director-level reporting line
  • A small, professional team of around 10, where your contribution is visible and valued
  • A varied role combining office management, administration and finance support
  • A strong benefits package, including private medical and a matched pension

Your new role as Office Manager

Reporting to the Finance & Operations Director, responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the day-to-day running of the office, including facilities, suppliers and office services
  • Providing administrative support to the Directors and engineering team
  • Coordinating meetings, diaries, visitors and office logistics
  • Supporting new starters with onboarding and office setup
  • Maintaining office records, systems and general administration
  • Supporting the preparation and issue of invoices
  • Assisting with credit control and following up on outstanding payments
  • Acting as the local point of contact for the Finance & Operations Director and the first point of contact for office queries

What you will need to succeed

  • Previous experience in an office management, administration or coordination role
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
  • The confidence to work independently, with your manager based in another office
  • Clear communication with colleagues, clients and suppliers
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Experience in invoicing or credit control would be advantageous
  • Experience in a professional services or engineering environment would be useful, however isn't required

What's in it for you?

  • Salary up to 40,000, dependent on experience
  • 37.5 hour working week
  • Private medical insurance, Life assurance & Income protection
  • Matched pension contribution
  • 24 days' annual leave plus bank holidays
