Administrative Support - Electricity Design & Technical Services

We are seeking an Administrative Support professional to join our Electricity Design & Technical Services team. This role is crucial for providing high-quality administrative support, ensuring efficient coordination of projects, and maintaining clear communication with customers throughout the lifecycle of their applications.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Act as a central coordinator for correspondence, ensuring timely and accurate communication to support the delivery of design work within the team.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for customers, providing updates and assisting with the coordination of their projects.
  • Support the team with a range of administrative tasks to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
  • Liaise with customers, Independent Connection Providers (ICPs), and other Network Operators to facilitate clear communication and effective project coordination.
  • Raise and process payment requests associated with project-related work.
  • Process customer applications, including Point of Connection, Embedded Generation, and Electric Vehicle (EV) applications.
  • Coordinate and maintain records of Bilateral Connection Agreements for new connections.
  • Undertake any additional duties as required by the line manager.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • GCSE (or equivalent) in English, Mathematics
  • Previous experience engaging with customers in a professional environment.
  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy in administrative work.

Desirable Criteria:

  • A-Levels (or equivalent).
  • Knowledge of health and safety legislation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (or equivalent).
