Secretaries Plus

What's the history of Secretaries Plus?

Thirty four years young, we now have the best team ever. Based in New Bond Street in the heart of the West End, we cover Central London as you might expect, but are also asked to handle top level EA roles anywhere from Reading to Dubai and Cyprus, although we don't particularly want to specialise in overseas positions. Most of our clients are based in the City, Docklands or West End.

How many employees do you have?

Twelve, of whom 6 are permanent consultants or temp controllers. We have a small team of ‘Superstars' who are at the top of their profession, in the top half of one per cent in our sector - we benchmark so can validate this brave claim!

What sort of roles do you recruit for?

Admin, grads with 6-12 months experience, receptionists, reception supervisors, PAs , EAs, private secretaries, team secretaries, marketing execs, marketing managers, HR execs, HR managers, HR directors, office managers, site secretaries, desk assistants.

We are particularly good at filling the £35/40,000++ EA/PA roles which require more expertise and finesse.

    Any particular sector?

We deal with everybody from Red Bull to the House of Commons, private equity to public sector, Top Four accountants to SMEs, luxury goods to the Bank of England, hedge funds to high net worth individuals in the public eye.

What is the profile of your typical client?

I am not sure there is any such thing.  Many of our clients are well known blue chips, with an interesting scattering of smaller firms and even very well known individuals.

    What sums up your company?

Passion, enthusiasm, warmth, professionalism and energy.  A cohesive team of ‘grown ups' who walk in every day with a smile on their faces and a spring in their step and get a buzz out of being part of a small successful business, where we can offer a personal service and everybody's  contribution counts!

    How do candidates contact you?

By email normally, everything now is digital. Due to the sheer volume of ad response these days we can no longer respond individually to every application as we used to be able to in the days of print, with helpful feedback where necessary. We also search the databases for perfect candidates for our current roles, so we may be contacting them to see if they are interested in our vacancy, it is no longer a purely reactive role for us.
