Corporate Security Receptionist
Location: Reading (close to the train station) Rate: 15.76 per hour
Shift pattern: Monday to Friday. (Apply online only) (week one)/(Apply online only) (week two) Would you like to work in the security reception team at a high-profile corporate location in Reading? We are seeking a professional, dual-skilled Front of House & Security professional to deliver a premium guest experience while ensuring the safety and integrity of our workplace. This dynamic role combines high-end reception services, meeting room coordination, and proactive security duties. Applicants must hold a SIA license. Essential criteria: - SIA License holder
- Strong customer service skills
- Well presented with excellent communication skills
- Strong IT skills
Key Responsibilities: 1. Front of House & Reception Services - Guest Experience: Act as a brand ambassador, welcoming all visitors, employees, and contractors with a seamless, professional arrival experience.
- Communication: Manage the switchboard, answer enquiries promptly, and coordinate daily visitor schedules with internal teams and building security.
- Team Support: Collaborate with the wider workplace team, providing cross-functional coverage and assisting with onboarding new members when needed.
2. Security, Access & Safety - Access Control: Monitor entry points, verify credentials, issue visitor passes, and maintain accurate digital access logs.
- Site Protection: Conduct routine patrols, monitor CCTV, log incidents, and execute daily opening/closing procedures to protect assets and personnel.
- Emergency Response: Lead emergency evacuations, report hazards, and provide First Aid support in line with site health and safety compliance.
3. Meetings & Events Management - Room Readiness: Oversee the presentation and setup of meeting rooms, collaboration spaces, and communal areas.
- Tech & Logistics: Ensure AV/meeting equipment is operational, report faults immediately, and adjust layouts to meet daily business needs.

- Vigilance & Safety: Safeguarding the physical integrity of the building, assets, and occupants.
- Operational Efficiency: Managing day-to-day concierge, safety, and workspace tasks with high attention to detail and clear communication.
