Business Support Administrator Location: Hinckley, Leicestershire Salary: £26,000 - £29,000 per annum Job Type: Full-time, Permanent We are recruiting for an experienced Business Support Administrator to join a growing manufacturing business in Hinckley. IMPORTANT: Candidates MUST have previous manufacturing estimating experience, including preparing quotations and calculating costs for manufactured products. This role would suit someone with a strong background in manufacturing sales administration who is confident managing customer enquiries, preparing estimates and quotations, processing orders and liaising with production teams. Key Responsibilities - Review customer enquiries, specifications and requirements to understand manufacturing needs.
- Prepare accurate estimates, costings and customer quotations.
- Calculate costs based on materials, labour, production requirements and manufacturing processes.
- Obtain supplier and material costs to support accurate pricing.
- Process customer orders accurately from initial enquiry through to delivery.
- Prepare quotations, order confirmations and relevant documentation.
- Follow up quotations and support the conversion of enquiries into orders.
- Provide customers with pricing, lead times, order updates and delivery information.
- Liaise with Production, Procurement, Quality and Logistics to ensure customer requirements are met.
- Maintain accurate customer, pricing and order information within CRM/ERP systems.
- Monitor order progress and proactively communicate any delays or issues.
- Build strong relationships with customers and provide a high level of service.
- Support the wider sales team with administration and account management activities.
Essential Skills & Experience - Manufacturing estimating experience is ESSENTIAL.
- Proven experience preparing estimates, costings and quotations within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience calculating costs involving materials, labour and/or manufacturing processes.
- Previous experience within manufacturing, engineering, fabrication, machining or a similar production environment.
- Experience within Sales Administration, Sales Estimating, Internal Sales, Technical Sales or Sales Support.
- Strong numerical skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Confident communicating with customers, suppliers and production teams.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Experience using CRM and/or ERP systems.
- Good Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
- Proactive, commercially aware and customer-focused approach.
