Finance Administrator

Tech Professionals Ltd is a specialist engineering and project support recruitment business, supplying engineers, technicians and skilled professionals across the offshore, subsea and maritime sectors.

We are looking for a detail-driven Finance Administrator to join our team and provide essential support across payroll, invoicing, data management and general finance administration.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced administrator looking to develop their career within finance, gaining valuable hands-on experience across payroll, invoicing, banking and accounts within a growing specialist business.

The Role

As Finance Administrator, you will play an important role in ensuring our financial and payroll processes are accurate, timely and well organised.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing, reviewing and validating financial and operational data using Excel
  • Supporting the monthly payroll process, including checking timesheets, expenses and contractor information
  • Using Xero to prepare and generate client invoices
  • Preparing BACS payment files and maintaining accurate banking records
  • Reviewing contractor and client contracts to ensure rates are correctly applied for billing and payroll
  • Checking data for accuracy and resolving discrepancies where required
  • Supporting the wider finance and administration function with general duties as needed
  • Working to monthly deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy

Skills & Experience

We are looking for someone who is organised, reliable and comfortable working with numbers and detailed information.

You will ideally have:

  • Strong Excel skills, with confidence using formulas and working with data
  • Previous experience in an administrative role
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks
  • The ability to work to deadlines, particularly around monthly payroll
  • Good communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Previous experience with payroll, invoicing, accounts or Xero would be advantageous, but is not essential
