Operations Admin

Hays Business Support are recruiting on behalf of a successful and growing organisation in Chesterfield who are looking to appoint an experienced Operations Administrator to support the smooth running of their operational, logistics and commercial activities.

This is a varied and fast-paced position ideally suited to an individual with strong administrative experience, excellent attention to detail, solid financial awareness and advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.

You will play a key role in supporting warehouse and operational performance, maintaining accurate records and producing reports that help drive business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Providing comprehensive administrative support across operational and logistics functions
• Maintaining accurate stock, inventory and product records across internal systems
• Monitoring inventory levels and assisting with stock reconciliation activities
• Producing regular reports on warehouse performance, stock movements and operational KPIs
• Processing operational documentation, purchase orders, invoices and financial records
• Supporting budgeting, cost tracking and general financial administration
• Updating and maintaining business databases, spreadsheets and reporting tools
• Assisting with demand planning and inventory control processes
• Liaising with warehouse, procurement, finance and customer-facing teams to ensure accurate information flow
• Investigating and resolving stock, delivery and operational discrepancies
• Producing management reports and analysing operational data using Excel
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and helping identify efficiencies within administrative processes
• Ensuring company records, documentation and compliance information remain accurate and up to date

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience within an Operations Administration, Logistics Administration, Supply Chain Administration or Business Support role
• Strong business administration skills gained within a fast-paced environment
• Excellent financial acumen and confidence working with operational data and reports
• Experience supporting stock control, inventory management or warehouse administration activities
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills with strong Excel capability, including formulas, reporting and data analysis
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
• Confident communicator with the ability to work effectively across multiple departments
• Proactive and solutions-focused approach

What's On Offer

• Salary of 27,000 - 30,000 depending on experience
• Permanent full-time opportunity
• Monday to Friday working hours
• 39-hour working week
