About the Role

We are currently seeking a reliable and organised Sales Order Processor to join a busy and growing team based in Chesterfield (S41). This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced administrator or order processing professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and delivering excellent customer service.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring orders are processed accurately and efficiently, supporting both the sales and operations teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Processing customer sales orders accurately and efficiently.
• Entering customer and order information onto internal systems.
• Liaising with customers regarding order updates, delivery schedules and queries.
• Coordinating with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure timely order fulfilment.
• Handling incoming telephone calls and email enquiries.
• Maintaining accurate customer records and documentation.
• Raising invoices and processing related paperwork.
• Resolving any order discrepancies or delivery issues.
• Supporting the sales team with administrative tasks as required.

Requirements

• Previous experience in sales order processing, customer service or administration.
• Strong data entry skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to prioritise workload and work effectively under pressure.
• Competent with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook and Excel.
• Experience using ERP, CRM or order management systems would be advantageous.
• A proactive and professional approach to work.
