Junior Legal Secretary

A respected City law firm is looking to recruit a Junior Legal Secretary to join its busy Real Estate team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with previous legal support experience who is keen to build a long-term career within a professional, supportive and collaborative environment.

The Role

Working closely with Partners, Associates and the wider support team, you will play an important role in ensuring the smooth running of the department while providing first-class administrative and secretarial support.

Key Responsibilities

• Providing comprehensive administrative support to the Real Estate team.
• Preparing, formatting and distributing legal correspondence and documents.
• Opening new client matters and maintaining accurate records and filing systems.
• Assisting with billing processes, invoices and completion-related administration.
• Conducting property searches and supporting fee earners throughout transactions.
• Managing incoming calls and emails, taking messages and responding to queries where appropriate.
• Organising electronic and hard-copy files in line with firm procedures.
• Handling printing, scanning, document production and post.
• Supporting colleagues across the team and assisting with cover when required.

About You

• Previous experience in a Legal Secretary, Junior Legal Secretary or Legal Administration role.
• Strong typing and document formatting skills, including audio and copy typing.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Outlook.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive, can-do attitude.
• Confident communicating with clients and colleagues at all levels.
• A team-oriented approach and willingness to learn and develop.
