A well-established and successful business is looking to recruit an experienced Accounts Administrator to join its finance team based in Leicester.

This is a varied, hands-on position covering both accounts payable and accounts receivable, joining the organisation during an exciting period of growth. The role will suit someone who enjoys taking ownership of transactional finance, maintaining clean and accurate ledgers and resolving supplier and customer queries efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Processing supplier invoices accurately and within agreed timescales
  • Managing and resolving supplier queries
  • Completing supplier statement reconciliations and regular ledger housekeeping
  • Ensuring revenue is billed within the correct accounting period
  • Managing and resolving customer account queries
  • Issuing monthly customer statements
  • Allocating customer cash receipts accurately against remittance advice
  • Maintaining clean and accurate AP and AR ledgers
  • Supporting the wider finance team with general accounting and administrative duties
  • Assisting with testing as part of an ERP system migration

You will ideally have:

  • Previous experience across accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • A good working knowledge of VAT
  • Strong Microsoft 365 skills, particularly Excel, Outlook and Word
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • A resilient, hands-on approach and willingness to support the wider team

Previous experience within the construction industry would be advantageous, as would exposure to Business Central or Xero, although neither is essential.
