Trainee Customer Care and Administrative Coordinator About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Trainee Customer Care and Administrative Coordinator to join an established team based in Pontypool. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop a career in customer service and administration within a busy, service-driven environment.

You will play a key role in supporting customers, coordinating service activities, and assisting with day-to-day administrative tasks to ensure efficient operations and excellent customer satisfaction.

Working Hours
  • Monday to Thursday: 08:00 - 16:00
  • Friday: 09:00 - 13:00

Key Responsibilities
  • Liaising with customers, occupiers, and the Service Engineering Field Team
  • Providing accurate information to support the completion of works efficiently and on schedule
  • Allocating site jobs to engineers and updating schedules as required
  • Preparing customer quotations for the finance team to secure payment
  • Delivering excellent customer service via telephone and email
  • Supporting administrative functions, including data entry and document control
  • Maintaining and updating internal systems and databases
  • Assisting with scheduling, communication, and general operational support activities
About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel
  • Excellent attention to detail, particularly when handling reports and documentation
  • A polite, professional, and confident telephone manner
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • A positive, flexible, and proactive approach to problem-solving
  • A collaborative attitude and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
Desirable Experience

While not essential, the following experience would be advantageous:

  • Previous experience in a customer service or administrative role
  • Experience working in a busy office or service-led environment
  • Scheduling, diary management, or coordinating engineer/site visits
  • Knowledge of the construction, glazing, manufacturing, or housing sectors
  • Confidence communicating with customers, contractors, and internal departments
