Location: Mid Sussex

Salary: 28k - 30k DOE Full-Time Permanent

Our client, a well-established and highly regarded law firm based in the Mid Sussex area, is seeking an experienced Property Legal Secretary to join their busy and friendly team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and organised individual with previous legal secretarial experience, ideally within Residential or Commercial Property, to become part of a supportive and professional working environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Providing comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to Fee Earners within the Property department.
• Audio and copy typing of legal documents, correspondence and reports.
• Managing diaries, arranging appointments and coordinating meetings.
• Preparing and submitting Land Registry applications and associated documentation.
• Handling client enquiries professionally, both over the phone and in person.
• Opening and closing files in accordance with firm procedures.
• Assisting with the progression of residential and/or commercial property transactions.
• Maintaining accurate records and updating case management systems.
• General administrative duties as required.

About You

The successful candidate will have:

• Previous experience as a Legal Secretary, ideally within a Property/Conveyancing department.
• Excellent typing and document production skills.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage a busy workload.
• A professional and client-focused approach.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
