Planning Administrator

Overview

We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Planning Administrator to support planning and logistics operations within a fast-paced environment. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate planning, stock control, and order fulfilment to meet customer demand.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and update short- and medium-term planning schedules using forecast data and inbound delivery information
• Create and manage transfer orders within internal systems to support a rolling operational plan
• Coordinate inbound and outbound activity to maximise efficiency in line with operational requirements
• Prepare and release orders for warehouse processing, ensuring accurate picking and dispatch
• Monitor and validate order completion, resolving any discrepancies where required
• Process customer orders and ensure timely fulfilment in line with demand
• Produce transport and delivery documentation for dispatch
• Maintain accurate tracking systems and update relevant sales and planning records
• Liaise with internal teams and external partners to coordinate operational requirements
• Support continuous improvement and lean initiatives across the planning function

Skills & Experience

• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Experience in stock control, including FIFO and date-sensitive products
• Good level of numeracy and attention to detail
• Confident communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong administrative and data handling capability
• Experience using ERP systems (e.g. Business Central or similar) is advantageous
• Background in food manufacturing or short shelf-life products is beneficial
