Role: Office ManagerSalary: £26,000 - £30,000Location: North Leeds, West YorkshireContract: Full time, permanent A well-established legal practice is seeking an experienced and proactive Office Manager to oversee the day-to-day running of its office. This is a key position within the firm, responsible for ensuring smooth operations, supporting staff, and maintaining high professional and administrative standards. The successful candidate will play a central role in coordinating office functions, managing resources, and acting as a point of contact for both internal teams and external suppliers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the daily operation of the office, ensuring efficient and professional working practices
  • Manage administrative staff, including supervision, support, and task allocation
  • Handle office systems, procedures, and workflows to ensure consistency and compliance
  • Act as first point of contact for facilities management, suppliers, and service providers
  • Manage office budgets, invoices, and routine financial administration in liaison with external accountants or senior management
  • Support HR-related processes including onboarding, absence management, and staff records
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory, data protection, and health & safety requirements
  • Coordinate file management, archiving, and general office records
  • Assist with implementing and improving internal systems and processes
  • Provide general operational support to partners, fee earners, and support staff as required
Skills and Experience

Essential:

  • Previous experience in an office management or senior administrative role
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Confident people manager with a supportive and professional approach
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • High level of discretion and professionalism
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office

Desirable:

  • Experience working in a legal or professional services environment
  • Knowledge of basic HR or finance processes
  • Familiarity with compliance or regulatory frameworks
