About the Role:

We are seeking a Patent Secretary with at least 3 years' experience in a similar role to join a busy IP team. This is a key position supporting Patent Attorneys, Associates and Technical Assistants with the smooth running of cases, ensuring deadlines are met and work is delivered accurately and efficiently. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining client relationships and assisting with both UK and international patent matters.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage attorney diaries, deadlines and correspondence to ensure smooth workflow
• Prepare and file patent documents with UK and international patent offices
• Assist with drafting and proofreading legal documents and forms
• Maintain accurate records in document management systems and track case progress
• Liaise with Clients, foreign Associates and internal teams to support ongoing matters

Skills and Experience Required:

• Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Patent Secretary or in patent administration
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in handling deadlines and documentation
• Proficient in IT systems and office software
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with team members
