Description:

A respected and long-established legal practice is seeking a confident, personable and highly organised Legal PA to support the Head of Department (a senior Partner) within a busy Litigation & Dispute Resolution team. You will work alongside another experienced PA and provide high-level support to a group of solicitors, a legal executive and a trainee solicitor.

This role is ideal for an experienced PA who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can balance competing priorities and excels at managing both their own workload and the demands of multiple fee earners. Exceptional client care, a calm and professional telephone manner and the ability to work with initiative are essential.

You'll be joining a welcoming, collaborative department that supports both private and commercial clients across the region. Professional development is encouraged, and further training will be available for the right candidate.

Main Responsibilities

  • Diary Management: Coordinate diaries for fee earners, including scheduling meetings, appointments and court hearings.
  • Document Preparation: Draft, format and proofread legal documents, correspondence and reports.
  • Client Liaison: Act as the first point of contact, handling sensitive information with discretion and delivering exceptional client service.
  • Case Management: Maintain accurate records, update case management systems and ensure compliance with key deadlines.
  • Billing & Financial Admin: Assist with billing, processing invoices, managing expenses and handling financial records for client matters.
  • Team Support: Provide administrative assistance including email management, filing, photocopying and responding to calls.

Experience within Litigation & Dispute Resolution is advantageous but not essential.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience as a Personal Assistant, ideally within a legal environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work proactively.
  • Strong organisational and multitasking skills, including audio typing.
  • Confident communicator with a client-focused approach.
  • A reliable team player able to prioritise and adapt quickly.
  • Ability to remain efficient and calm under pressure.
