Description:

Supporting the NHS our client is looking for someone with experience of clock stops and waiting lists. If you have worked as an RTT Validator and have experience of clock stops and wait lists - this may be the role for you.

This is a temporary role based in Crewe for training (so must live in that area) with remote work a possibility when fully trained.

It is paying an hourly rate of £14.00 - £15.39, the role is likely to run for 3 months or so and you will need to be available for that period.

You will investigate clinical records, correct pathway errors, and support operational teams to improve data quality. Key skills include knowledge of 18-week rules, high attention to detail, and experience with NHS patient systems.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Pathway Validation: Analyse patient pathways to identify, correct, and resolve data inaccuracies (e.g., in CareFlow or PAS).
  • Data Accuracy: Ensure patient tracking lists are accurate to support performance reporting.
  • Information Analysis: Review medical records, clinic letters, and diagnostic data to determine the correct RTT status.
  • Communication: Work with clinical staff to resolve pathway ambiguities and escalate potential breaches of targets.
  • Training & Support: Provide advice on 18-week rules to staff and support training.
  • Administrative Tasks: Handle patient data in accordance with security and confidentiality policies (Data Protection Act).

Person Specification

  • Experience: Previous NHS administration experience, ideally in elective care, waiting lists, or data validation.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of 18-week RTT rules and national targets.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel) and NHS Patient Administration Systems (PAS).
  • Attributes: High attention to detail, strong communication skills, and ability to work under pressure.
