Asbestos Lab Analyst / Administrator - Edinburgh

We are an expanding UKAS accredited asbestos consultancy actively seeking an organised and reliable Asbestos Lab Analyst/Administrator to join our Edinburgh team. The ideal candidate will hold a P401 certificate, possess laboratory experience for bulk asbestos analysis, and be capable of handling administrative duties such as report preparation and paperwork processing. Applicants from Dunfermline, Oakley, Queensferry, and the surrounding areas will be given special consideration.

• P401 asbestos laboratory qualification.
• Administrative or office experience.
• Proven laboratory track record within the asbestos industry.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including database use.

• Receive, appropriately log, and catalogue samples in the laboratory.
• Prepare samples for analysis and conduct fibre content analysis in accordance with UKAS regulations.
• Complete analysis test sheets and ensure all workload is completed within required timeframes.
• Build and maintain positive working relationships with customers and clients.
• Assist with other laboratory duties as required.
• Carry out multi tasking administrative duties and organise paperwork.
• Enter data, analyse reports, and upload completed reports.
• Liaise with and assist clients with enquiries.
• Manage internal and external databases and provide technical support to customers and staff.
