Opportunity - the 'what'

On a day-to-day basis, you will:

  • Assist Academic Sales Operations teams with administrative and operational tasks.
  • Maintain strong communication with internal teams and external customers, societies, agents, and resellers.
  • Process billing and manage sales workflows across journals and online products.
  • Troubleshoot issues, analyze root causes, and ensure timely resolution.
  • Set up systems for new products, pricing updates, renewals, and access control.
  • Support data management, including loading and updating customer information.

Your work will ensure smooth sales operations, accurate billing, and excellent customer service-critical to OUP's success in delivering academic content globally.

About You
  • Approachable, friendly, and a strong team player.
  • IT literate with good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Teams, Outlook).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Analytical skills for root cause analysis and trend identification.
  • Educated to A level or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with academic digital resources, online journals, or library systems.
  • Knowledge of IP address management and access methods.
  • Experience with systems such as Advantage, Sigma, Salesforce, 8X8, SAMS.
