| Description: | My client is looking for an experienced Legal Secretary to join their successful team in Newcastle, due to the retirement of the current Secretary to one of the Directors.This law firm has a long history in the North East and it enjoys a stellar reputation for providing practical and effective legal advice. The firm has a modern, up-to-date approach and invests in its staff with the provision of a supportive work environment where merit and achievement are rewarded.They re looking for a very experienced Legal Secretary, one with a good work history of providing secretarial support in one of the large commercial law firms highly desirable. You must have excellent secretarial/PA and IT skills, be accustomed to dealing directly with clients and third parties and enjoy working in an often very busy environment for a senior fee earner.The bulk of the work is within Commercial Property but with elements of other Commercial work, buying and selling of business/share transfers, finance restructuring and the like. This type of experience will be required to be successful in this role.The job requires good organisational skills, the ability to prioritise work, a meticulous eye for detail, flexibility and the aptitude to work well as part of a team, as well as handle their own work as required. The successful candidate must be IT literate as the ability to use a computerised case management system is an essential requirement of the job.It is also essential that the job holder has good interpersonal skills and can communicate clearly and effectively with both internal and external contacts, and has the ability to deal with matters tactfully and promptly.Salary for this role will be competitive dependent on experience, with the firm willing to pay a generous salary in line with experience and expectation.
